One of the most common concerns sales representatives express is whether taking notes during a sales call will offend customers. Thus, many sales reps hesitate, believing that recording customer comments in real time might make the interaction feel overly formal or intrusive. As a result, they opt to document key takeaways after the call - sometimes immediately, but often delaying by hours or even days. This reluctance is frequently justified with the claim, "Customers don’t like it when I take notes." But is this a valid concern, or simply an excuse?
